The Rapture of the Church

February 14, 2020

There is something called the Rapture of the Church, and the body of Christ is all over the place on the timing of this event; however, everyone does believe the rapture is going to happen. We will look at what each of these beliefs are later on in our study but right now I want to briefly give you the four scenarios. There are some people who believe in what is called pre-tribulation when the rapture occurs before the seven year period starts. Others believe the rapture occurs at mid-tribulation which happens at the three and a half year mark. Still others believe the rapture takes place during pre-wrath because there is a defined period of time during great tribulation where the wrath of God Himself is poured out on the earth. The last belief is post-tribulation, meaning exactly that, the rapture happens at the very end of the seven year period.

The four scenarios are pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, pre-wrath, and post-tribulation. These are all pieces of a puzzle that we have not yet lived through but here is the important difference – those who believe in pre-tribulation or mid-tribulation, think we are going to be raptured while we are living in great peace. This belief leaves us with no need to prepare because we will be taken out of here anyway, right? However, those that believe in pre-wrath or post-tribulation realize we will go through a lot of anguish on earth. Therefore, this group must prepare their hearts and minds for tribulation. Do you understand the difference?

I want you to know that I will always error on the side of caution when I teach the Word of God. This means, I will always go to a place that is more conservative and may even seem a bit harsh to some Christian, but if I get it wrong then it won’t be that bad, right? However, the leaders in the Church who teach we’re taken out of here during great peace, well, what happens if they’re wrong? Think about this for a minute because if they’re wrong and you have to live through great tribulation, and you’re not prepared because you weren’t taught, then you’re going to be very angry! I would rather side on the error of caution and prepare you for what I think would be the optimal time for you to fortify your heart against what might come. This is better than teaching we’re going to escape tribulation and then we don’t. I want you to be prepared, be alert, be ready, and be watching for the return of the Lord! Amen.

Be Blessed,
Sebastian
