Home Study Series
Dreams, Visions, Symbols & Prophecy
Our Home Study series are Bible study curriculums developed especially for family studies and are very similar to our weekly Bible teachings. They will include a series of videos and study notes for each lesson and consist of 3 to 10 sessions for each curriculum.
Dreams, Visions, Symbols and Prophecy is our first Home Study series that contains 5 sessions. The first session teaches how the Holy Spirit spoke to the new church in the Book of Acts.
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, You old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy” (Acts 2:17-18).
These verses outline how God communicates with His people. This special teaching will bring an understanding of how the gifts of dreams, visions, symbols and prophecy were used in the Old and New Testaments to reveal God’s heart and mind to mankind.
Session 1
We must retain learning and knowledge but God already knows everything. The Holy Spirit reveals things to us so we can be prepared, alert and ready for the future. We have all the wisdom, power, knowledge and ability of God residing in us.
Session 2
Mary – God gave her a vision of Gabriel that set her on a course to serve His purpose.
Joseph – God gave him a dream to warn him so he could prepare for the future.
Daniel – God gave him revelation behind the secret to Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.
Session 3
The mystery of the church was hidden in God before He created the world. No one in the Old Testament or even at the resurrection knew about the dispensation of grace. We show the manifold wisdom of God when we stand against the attacks of Satan.
Session 4
John wrote the Book of Revelation through inspiration from the Holy Spirit. An open vision gives John a representation of heaven but also explains what happens on earth. Dreams, visions, symbology and prophecy are important to understand and interpret for things yet before us.
Session 5
You can’t understand prophecy if it’s not being taught and the modern church isn’t teaching it. Learning about dreams, visions and prophecies is meant to cause us to live being alert, prepared and ready to meet Jesus at any time.
