Don’t Be Lulled to Sleep
February 3, 2020
The Word of God tells us in Romans 8:33-39 that God has proven His love for us and we should never question it. Paul goes on to say that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Whether it is peril, tribulation, famine or whatever else is going on. All of these things are external pressures and circumstances that come upon humanity. However, Paul tells us not to equate the pressure, trauma and tribulation to God forsaking us or not loving us. We must understand that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus if we are living our life for Him.
I want you to understand that by studying eschatology and end times there is a great blessing in knowing what is coming next. Believe me, there is a great blessing in heeding these words: be watchful, be prepared, be alert, be ready, be sober and understand what’s going on in the environment! We can’t be lulled to sleep by humanity or get too busy to pray or read our Bible or attend Church. We must always keep our relationship with Jesus Christ fresh and fervent. Continue to walk in the Word and understand the Word because the more revelation we have, along with understanding end times, the better prepared we are going to be.
We read in 2 Peter 3:3-4 not to listen to a scoffer and don’t buy into the scoffer’s ways. People tell me all the time that the return of the Lord is not going to be in our generation. I respond by asking them: How do you know? Because if it’s not in our generation or if His return is not in the forefront of our minds and we’re not teaching it, then how will the next generation know what to do? Are we going to leave them without an understanding? Listen, it was very important to the Christians in the first century to pass their knowledge onto the next generation; therefore, it must be even more important for us today to follow their example! Amen.
Be Blessed,
Sebastian
